Net revenue has risen to $5.50 billion in the March quarter, compared with $5.18 billion in the same period a year ago. However, sequentially the net revenue saw a decline of 3 per cent, compared to $5.70 billion in the fourth quarter of 2008, a first ever since Google went public in 2004. Google' total costs and expenses, which include research and development and sales and marketing, saw a drop of $14,409 million to $3.62 billion.
